I’ve always been a wrench turner at heart. First at General Electric and then at Baker Hughes, I’ve seen industrial business operations from just about every angle. I’ve worked on oil rigs, slept on shop floors, and designed & installed my own equipment; I’ve also managed teams, negotiated millions in supplier savings, earned several patents, and even led a $30 million acquisition.

I had a good job. But I wanted something more.

For as steady and stable as corporate life can be, I didn’t want to spend my life climbing someone else’s ladder. I wanted to wake up knowing the decisions I made mattered, not just to a quarterly report, but to a business, its people, its customers, and its community.

I went to Harvard Business School to push myself, find out what I was made of, and forge my own path toward ownership. There, I discovered the search fund model and a way to put everything I had learned toward finding a business I could truly own and operate.

Entrepreneurship is in my roots.

My parents became entrepreneurs out of necessity, not because it was easy or glamorous. I watched them take risks, weather setbacks, and build their own security through ownership and hard work.

That experience taught me that ownership is about more than building wealth. It’s about creating something that is truly your own and taking responsibility for what happens next. I’m not pursuing ownership for the title or the transaction.

I’m doing it for the people.

The best businesses are built on relationships: employees who have mastered a craft, customers who trust you to deliver, suppliers who become partners, and owners who have poured themselves into what they’ve built. As a lifelong athlete, I’ve always believed the best teams are made up of people who genuinely care about one another.

My ambition is to become the kind of owner who is known by the people whose lives the business touches. To show up. To listen. To invest in people, preserve what works, and build what comes next. FND Partners is my attempt to do exactly that: find one exceptional business, earn the trust of the person who built it, and spend the rest of my career taking care of it.
